Amir Levine

Amir Levine is a psychiatrist in private practice and a neuroscientist at Columbia University, where he is a principle investigator on a NIH-sponsored research project. He is the co-author, with Rachel Heller, of the book Attached, which has been translated into 14 languages. A pioneer in the field of attachment/neuroscience-based therapy (ANBT), Levine trains mental-health professionals in using ANBT principles in their practices. He is a speaker on the topic of attachment in everyday life, and his work has appeared in newspapers and magazines and on television and radio. Through his private practice, he applies ANBT principles in an effort to help individuals and couples develop better, more meaningful lives.
