Anya Kamenetz

Education Correspondent, NPR; Author, The Art of Screen Time

Anya Kamenetz is an education correspondent for NPR and the author of several books. Previously a staff writer for Fast Company magazine, she has contributed to The New York Times,The Washington PostNew York Magazine, and Slate; commented for “PBS Newshour”; and appeared in documentaries on PBS and CNN. Kamenetz is the author of The Art of Screen Time: How Your Family Can Balance Digital Media and Real Life; Generation DebtDIY Uand The Test. Named a 2010 Game Changer in Education by Huffington Postshe has received several awards from the Education Writers Association and, with the NPR ed team, won the 2017 Edward R. Murrow Award for innovation.
