Barton Gellman is an author and a staff writer at The Atlantic, where he covers politics, government, and national security. Prior to this, he was a legal, diplomatic, military, and Middle East correspondent for 21 years at The Washington Post. Gellman was previously a lecturer and visiting research fellow at Princeton and a senior fellow at The Century Foundation. He is the author of Dark Mirror: Edward Snowden and the American Surveillance State and Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency. Gellman’s professional honors include three Pulitzer Prizes, two Emmy Awards, and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize.
