David Miliband
President and CEO, International Rescue Committee
David Miliband is president and CEO of the International Rescue Committee, overseeing relief and development operations in over 40 crisis-affected countries, refugee resettlement and assistance programs throughout Europe and the Americas, and advocacy efforts. He previously had a political career in the United Kingdom, where he served as foreign secretary from 2007 to 2010, secretary of state for the environment in 2006, and Parliament member from 2001 to 2013. The son of refugees, Miliband authored the book, “Rescue: Refugees and the Political Crisis of Our Time.” His recognition includes being named one of the world’s greatest leaders by Fortune Magazine.
