Della Makower is a medical oncologist and clinical researcher at Montefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care, where she specializes in treating patients with breast cancer. She is an assistant professor of medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, director of therapeutic services for breast medical oncology at Montefiore Medical Center, and vice chair of the Breast Program Leadership Committee at the Montefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care. Makower served as co-chair of the recently published TAILORx trial, which evaluated integration of a multiparameter gene expression assay in clinical decision-making for adjuvant chemotherapy in node-negative hormone receptor-positive breast cancer.
