Founder and President, Interfaith America
Eboo Patel is the founder and president of Interfaith America, a nonprofit working with governments, universities, private companies, and civic organizations to make interfaith cooperation a social norm. A civic leader, he served on President Obama’s inaugural Advisory Council on Fath-Based Neighborhood Partnerships and has given hundreds of keynote addresses. The author of, most recently, We Need to Build: Fieldnotes for Diverse Democracy, Patel previously wrote Out of Many Faiths, Interfaith Leadership, Sacred Ground, and his autobiography, Acts of Faith. His recognition includes the Sandor Teszler Award for Moral Courage and Service to Humanity, and being named to Chicago magazine’s 100 Most Powerful Chicagoans and The NonProfit Times Power & Influence Top 50 lists.
