Joseph Jones Jr.

Founder and CEO, Center for Urban Families

Joseph T. Jones Jr. is founder and CEO of the Center for Urban Families, a nonprofit service organization that empowers low-income families by focusing on economic and family stability. Previously, he developed and directed the Men’s Services program for Baltimore Head Start and served on President Obama’s Fatherhood and Healthy Families Task Force. Jones currently serves on the boards of the Open Society Institute of Baltimore, Baltimore Workforce Development Board, and My Brother’s Keeper, Baltimore. Among other honors, he received the Johns Hopkins University Leadership Development Program’s Distinguished Leadership Award, the White House Champion of Change, and is a 2013 CNN Hero. He’s an Aspen Institute Ascend Fellow.
