Lanhee Chen is the David and Diane Steffy Fellow in American Public Policy Studies at the Hoover Institution, director of domestic policy studies in the Public Policy Program and an affiliated faculty member at the Center for Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law (CDDRL) at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University. He’s also a member of the Aspen Economic Strategy Group, a Senior Counselor at the Brunswick Group and Chair of the Board of Directors of El Camino Health. Chen was the chief policy advisor to Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign, a member of the Social Security Advisory Board, and a senior appointee at the US Department of Health and Human Services during the George W. Bush administration.
