Lester Holt is an award-winning journalist and anchor of “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt” and “Dateline NBC.” He also leads NBC News’ special reports, breaking news, and primetime political coverage. Holt’s recent reporting includes from Ukraine following Russia’s invasion, Florida during Hurricane Ian, and Uvalde, Texas, after the mass shooting and interviewing President Biden, former U.S. Attorney General William Barr, and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy. Previously, he launched the digital newscast “Nightly News: Kids Edition” and anchored the weekend editions of “NBC Nightly News” and co-anchored “Weekend TODAY.” Holt joined NBC News in 2000 after 19 years at CBS as a reporter, anchor, and international correspondent. He received the 2021 National Press Club Fourth Estate award and the Edward R. Murrow Lifetime Achievement award.
