Lisa Damour is a clinical psychologist with a focus on child development. She writes about teenagers for The New York Times, co-hosts the “Ask Lisa” podcast, and appears as a regular contributor to CBS News. A senior advisor to the Schubert Center for Child Studies at Case Western Reserve University, Damour is executive director of Laurel School’s Center for Research on Girls and works in collaboration with UNICEF. She is the New York Times best-selling author of Untangled: Guiding Teenage Girls Through the Seven Transitions into Adulthood and Under Pressure: Confronting the Epidemic of Stress and Anxiety in Girls. Recognized as a thought leader by the American Psychological Association, Damour maintains a private psychotherapy practice and consults and speaks internationally.
