Heather Boushey

Heather Boushey is a member of the Council of Economic Advisors and chief economist to the Invest in America Cabinet at the White House. She is also co-founder of the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, where she was president and CEO from 2013 to 2020. Previously, Boushey was chief economist for former Secretary of State Clinton’s 2016 transition team and an economist for the Center for American Progress, Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress, Center for Economic and Policy Research, and Economic Policy Institute. She is the author of Unbound: How Economic Inequality Constricts Our Economy and Finding Time: The Economics of Work-Life Conflict. Boushey contributes to The New York Times, The Atlantic, and Democracy Journal and appears on MSNBC, CNBC, and PBS.
